I am an enthusiastic researcher based in Sherbrooke, with a rich experience in advanced photovoltaics, fabrication & material characterization.

Fabrication, testing solar cells and material characterization

With substantial research experience in photovoltaics, I have mastered the skills of understanding advanced materials according to the latest technological trends. I have worked with institutions across different countries so you can rely on my expertise for cutting-edge energy solutions.

I’ve spent most of my career working across different areas of experimental physics, ranging from my foundational research at Dong-A University to my PhD at Institut des NanoSciences de Paris (INSP), and my current role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Université de Sherbrooke. Having worked on various projects focused on organic, perovskite, and III-V multijunction solar cells, I can deliver highly efficient device engineering. My expertise covers the complete microfabrication cycle—including photolithography, CVD of Ge and GaAs thin films, thermal evaporation, and slot-die coating. Additionally, I utilize advanced characterization like synchrotron-based XPS, microscopic techniques (AFM, SEM, TEM), and optoelectronic testing (J-V, EQE, EIS) to understand degradation mechanisms and optimize interface performance. My research methodology bridges nanoscale material physics with system-level device deployment. Over my academic career, this dual focus has allowed me to lead several high-impact research areas:

• Advanced Device Testing & Diagnostics: I specialize in analyzing solar cell performance limits under real-world and accelerated conditions. My testing workflow routinely integrates Current-Voltage (J-V) characterization, Maximum Power Point (MPP) tracking, External Quantum Efficiency (EQE), and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) to dissect internal losses and resistance profiles.
• Interfacial & Structural Characterization: Utilizing synchrotron facilities, I investigate the electronic structure and energy band alignment of perovskite nanocrystals at the critical interface with 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDCs). I also analyze radiation-induced degradation mechanisms caused by UV and X-ray exposure to develop long-lasting, space-tolerant solar cells.
• Academic & Project Deliverables: Beyond laboratory engineering, I actively manage project lifecycles. I focus on writing milestone-driven technical reports for funding bodies, drafting peer-reviewed journal articles, and presenting findings at international material science and renewable energy conferences.
